MA Affiliate’s Committees allow us to have a broad impact on many important health issues.  It’s also a great way to get involved!  Please contact the chair listed on the Committee page if you are interested in getting involved

Diversity and Inclusion Committee

Started in 2016, the D&I Committee’s mission is to promote diversity in midwifery education,
practice and discourse and promote health equity for all our families and communities.

Legislative Committee

The Legislative Committee advocates for advancing midwifery practice in MA, and develops and lobbies for bills relevant to midwifery or women’s health care.

• ROE Act to expand access to women’s reproductive health and abortion service

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee plans events for current members, and develops strategies for creating new members:

The Public Relations Committee helps plan outreach and events to spread the midwifery message in MA.
They also work on our website, our Blog, and our social media presence.
